Woman ShapePre-Natal & Post-Natal Fitness Class
Prenatal Exercise Classes are sponsored by The Weight Club to prepare your body for the physical demands of pregnancy and childbirth. Classes are taught by an exercise leader trained specifically for pre and post-natal exercise, and are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. They may be started early in your pregnancy and may be continued until after the birth of your baby as long as your physician feels there are no contraindications for your participation. Classes include:
Exercises will be adapted to your specific needs and any problems you may be experiencing. Literature on nutrition, anatomy, and physiology will be provided to help increase understanding of your body's changes during pregnancy. Correct body mechanics will also be taught to help you learn how to use your back properly to prevent potential back problems. You will be instructed in basic strengthening exercises which can be done after the birth of your baby, if your physician approves. Benefits
